Orcinus Technologies Inc. (Orcintech) recently had a productive discussion with Meredith Purcell from the NunatuKavut Community Council as part of our Canadian Space Agency (CSA) supported work.
The conversation focused on collaboration, the value of local and Indigenous knowledge, and how we can move forward together in a way that aligns with community priorities and shared outcomes. These discussions are an important part of ensuring that technology-driven projects are grounded in local context and informed by lived experience.
Working Together Through Respectful Partnership
Orcintech is committed to working alongside Indigenous partners in a respectful, meaningful, and collaborative manner. We are grateful for the openness, insight, and perspectives shared during this discussion, which help strengthen both the project and the relationships that support it.
Engaging early and consistently with community partners allows us to better align our technical work with real-world needs, while supporting long-term, mutually beneficial outcomes.
Looking Ahead
We look forward to continuing this collaboration with the NunatuKavut Community Council as the project progresses, and to building on these conversations through ongoing engagement and shared learning.
